Fairy Tale Retellings My Recommendations

I know it's been awhile since I've posted and I've had this draft sitting around for awhile. Blows off the cobwebs and I've made a slight change.

If you're a fan of Once Upon A Time and are looking for something to read to help fill in the time until the winder break ends. I have some Fairy Tale stories that are in a somewhat similar vein in retelling the Fairy Tales that we grew up with. These are in no particular order.

The Grimm Diaries by Cameron Jace:  Snow White is not what we actually think she is in this series. Every 1000 years the relatives of the Grimms have to make sure that the Fairy Tales stay the way they were written and that the the lost 7 stay lost.  There are a series of 18 prequels which introduce us to the main characters that will make appearances in the main novels of the series. The prequels are only in e-book format and can be purchased in bundles.

The Prequels are:
1 Snow White Blood Red narrated by The Snow White Queen
2 Ashes to Ashes and Cinder to Cindernarrated by Alice Grimm
3 Beauty Never Dies narrated by Peter Pan
4 Ladle Rotten Rat Hut narrated by Little Red Riding Hood
5 Mary Mary Quite Contrary narrated by the Devil
6 Blood Apples narrated by Prince Charming
7 Once Beauty Twice Beast narrated by Beauty
8 Moon & Madlynarrated by Moongirl
9 Rumpelstein narrated by Rumpelstiltskin
10 Jawigi narrated by Sandman Grimm
10.5 Happy Valentine’s Slay by Wee Willy Winkie

11 Children of Hamlin by the Devil

12 Tooth & Nail & Fairy Tale by Jack Madly

13 Ember in the Wind by the Little Match Girl

14 Jar of Hearts by the Queen of Sorrow
15 Snow White Black Swan narrated by the Queen of Sorrow
16 The Pumpkin Piper narrated by Jack Madly
17 Prince of Puppets narrated by Pinocchio
18 The Sleeping Swan narrated by Angel Von Sorrow
The Main Novels are
 1. Snow White Sorrow
2. Cinderella Dressed in Ashes
3. Blood, Milk and Chocolate (December 2014)

These are available in either e-book or print format.

If you love the character Rumpelstiltskin there are a few books for you to sit down and enjoy

A Curse as Dark as Gold by Elizabeth Bunce
The Rumpelstiltskin Problem by Vivian Vande Velde (many different takes on Rumplestiltskin)
Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin by Liesl Shurtliff

My friend and fellow podcaster, Chrissy (aka wildcatmedia) has also made a list of her favorite fairy tale re-tellings and she has graciously said I could add the links for them here in my post. Enjoy!
